Definations of different kinds of beads.
I am going to make a mini tutorial of beads. I will try to post 1 or 2 different descriptions, 1 or 2 times a week.
So here goes.
DRUK:
A technical term for round glass beads that are larger than seed beads. The word comes from the Czech language. The Czech Republic is the best source for a variety of beautiful glass beads, hence the use of this term in some descriptions where these beads are for sale. A lot of suppliers simply call these beads "rounds".
Be careful when you buy Druk beads, because if worn as a bracelet, the finish will rub off, if the bracelet rubs against something like a desk, for long periods of time.
LAMPWORK:
A type of handmade glss beads. Many lampwork beads have one core color and splashes or splotches of other colors added on top of the basic core. Other lampwork pieces can include metal foil within the bead, which really makes the bead glisten.
Lampwork pendants are readily available in the form of leaves, flowers, fruit, faces and animals. They are pretty, and can be a stunning addition to a necklace or rosary. Many lampwork pieces are heavy, so if you choose a lampwork bead, remember also to choose a stronger grade of stringing material.

Calming down..
Having an issue with my sister, and it has me stressed out. So I thought, what can I do to calm down.
Hum! I have many thousands of beads, findings, unusual items, that need seperated, photographed, packaged and listed.. THAT, my friends, is my way of relieving stress. And, guess what, it's working.
The Etsy site has kept me strssed for several months now, enough is enough, I cannot let them get the best of me.
I am listing my "new" items on a different online selling site. ArtFire to be exact. I will keep my Etsy shop, and relist when something sells. I still have hope they will figure out what the problems are, and more importantly, figure out how to fix them.
If you are reading this and are looking for supplies please check out my store at Ladyhawk.artfire.com.
Feel free to share your links here....
Peace

Dupe info
Yep I thought I lost the first post so I retyped what I could remember of it, then I found it, so I couldn't let it go to waste...so now there are two not so identical twins..
I finally found my blog...
I don't know exactly where I want this blog to go, so I am going to let the posts take it where it wants to go.
Summer is here, and I am alive again. I wish I could follow summer around the world. I want to be warm all the time.
To my Etsy and ArtFire friends, feel free to share here. Put a link to your new item, talk about your new item. Or share what you are doing today, or what you are going to do tomorrow.
Share you favorite poem, song, saying or share your original thoughts, and we all have those.
I don't want this to be a negative blog, which with all that is going on over at Etsy, that would be easy to do.
I want to keep it positive. I don't want it to get all spammy, but if you have a new item you wish to share go for it. We need to help each other, so go ahead and post your shop/store links.
